Just as The Joy of Cooking says, fava beans are no big deal if you take the trouble to soak and/or simmer them and remove the skins. On the other hand, lupini beans would appear to be up there in the chickpea range in terms of how long it takes to cook them. That is, if they are lupini beans; they don't look like any of the pictures or descriptions I've found.

I hate project planning so much, I modelled this one as a network of node transitions just to make sure anyone who doubted my numbers would have to understand the 10-state diagram I'd constructed and thus re-experience the pain.
