That last was just an absurdly overdramatic way of saying that I started doing my taxes for 2007. But it was really hard!
Note to self #62: Have a glass of this dry sherry tomorrow, just to see if I really do have some kind of sensitivity to sulfites. Maybe those miserable evenings after a restaurant meal in times gone by weren't entirely due to eggs in the dessert.
