I guess the other thing that has contributed to the success of my latest effort to get up in the morning has been an improved understanding of the fact that getting up at 9 a.m. implies going to bed no later than 1 a.m., which implies having dinner around 11 p.m. and going home from work at 10 p.m. at the latest. My former boss at work tried very hard to get me to do that last, but until I understood how little give there was on a long-term basis to all the other deadlines, it wasn't going to do much good.
It turns out that eating over half a dozen donuts doesn't impact my calorie schedule that much, because the energy expended in the allergic reaction I am still feeling the effects of results in few or possibly even negative net calories. Not a recommended diet method.
