I spent a sizable chunk of a surprisingly warm Saturday bicycling around on errands, including going to work for a couple of hours. While I was there I took the opportunity to get some weekend weighing data and was surprised to find that I was all the way down to 165 pounds. Later this evening at home, I had a headache. This almost never happens. The known causes for me getting a headache are:
So I'm guessing I won't weigh 165 pounds the next time I'm at work. Whoops.
I tend to cook a lot on weekends, and this last was no exception; stir-fried broccoli on Saturday night, spicy tofu and eggplant Sunday evening, and just now in the can is another batch of oatmeal-raisin cookies, made with rye flour, olive oil, mesquite and raspberry honey, and flame raisins that are so chunky I actually bothered to chop them up. There were also the requisite rolled oats in there. As they did the first few times I tried honey and oil instead of sugar and butter, the cookies pretty much slumped out like pancakes and flowed into each other in an ecstatic union, which I brusquely severed, cutting them apart and stashing them away.
They don't hold together all that well, but they still taste fine, so I'm satisfied. Next, I'll see if more flour makes a difference.
