end of another era
I finally got around to checking with my old bank in Canada about
the account I had with them, which I haven't used since 1998 after
transferring almost all of it to my US account. After a number
of tries, the customer service representative wasn't able to find it, so
I suppose it's finally been closed. I originally got the account when I
was, damn, I don't really know, maybe when I was eleven or so, although
for some reason I seem to recall it was nine, which seems way too young.
I'm a little sad that the continuity of so many years has ended, but I'm
mostly relieved that I won't have to report it as a foreign account on
my taxes any more.
